About Amanda

Amanda primarily works with adults of all ages. She is passionate about supporting grieving children and teens by working with parents and guardians. Amanda is a client centered therapist and values the importance of client’s feeling heard and knowing they matter. She is especially devoted to assisting individuals dealing with grief and loss, as this is both a personal and professional passion of hers. She understands life can take an unexpected turn and she supports clients in finding the best way for them to move forward and live life intentionally.

Amanda also counsels caregivers and loved ones coping with the end of life care of family members, along with non-death related losses and life transitions. She uses an integrative psychotherapy approach to her counseling- she will use empathy and skills to find what works best for the client. Amanda strives to help her clients focus on fostering individual growth, assisting them in learning adaptive behaviors that allow them to function and thrive within their lifestyle and environment.

Prior to being a therapist, Amanda devoted her time being an educator of children with disabilities and behavioral disorders. She successfully created and implemented two separate behavior programs for students ranging from 8-21. She had the opportunity to work with a diverse population of at-risk students and worked closely with parents and guardians in this process.
