About Ellie
Ellie attends Butler University where she is pursuing a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling. She graduated from the University of Illinois with an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Psychology. While at the University of Illinois, she completed a Mental Performance Consulting Internship with the Women's Soccer team.
Ellie’s approach to therapy is dedicated to helping clients become the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves. She has a passion for working with adolescents, young adults, and athletes, offering a strength-based approach tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Ellie understands that the adolescent and early adult years are filled with frequent changes and challenges, and she works to equip clients with the skills necessary to navigate these transitions successfully.Rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy, Ellie believes that our thought processes play a critical role in shaping our behavior. She integrates a compassionate focus within her approach, helping clients cultivate a more caring inner voice while addressing self-criticism.
In both her personal and professional life, Ellie has a passion for athletics. With both personal experience as an athlete and professional experience in mental performance work, she understands the profound impact mental preparation can have on performance, confidence, and overall well-being. As a former athlete and current coach, she strives to help young athletes develop a strong mind-body connection. Ultimately, her goal is to help clients reach their fullest potential—whether that’s in athletics, academics, or as individuals.​

Ellie is a master's level intern at KR Counseling where she receives direct supervision under Katie Roemer, LCPC. Ellie plans to complete her internship at the end of 2025.
